The Advisory Group Water & Maritime Indonesia (AG W&M Indonesia) consists of around 65 staff based in the Jakarta office. As frontrunner in the industry, we combine technical expertise with management consultancy to provide solutions to support our clients with their strategy and programme for the three market units, i.e. climate resilience, water technology and maritime. Our services include E&S consultancy, project definition and conceptual design, with a focus on the aforementioned three market units for private clients and IFCs.

Due to continued growth in a variety of markets, we are looking to grow our E&S Team and are seeking an Senior Environmental Consultant to provide consultancy service resilience and a spread of specialist knowledge.

• Managing and/or bringing your specific skills and experience in delivering the following services:
• Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and associated Management Plans required to bring a project in line with specific sustainability requirements and or make it bankable;
• ESG Due Diligence to assess risks associated with an investment in the context of Project Finance;
• Monitoring or auditing the ESG performance of a business or of a project during its construction and operation and advising on how to improve it, from the definition of a couple of corrective actions to the development of a comprehensive sustainability roadmap or management system.
• Preparation and provide detailed review to achieve high-quality reports and presentations
• Contribute to business development by providing strategic advice to existing and potential clients, including the preparation of marketing material, such as developing proposals and commercial offers
• Apply your experience to play an important role as a mentor of younger colleagues and help them to develop their capacity and capability. Leading by example and coaching will be an important, but also fun part of your work.
• Contributing to the team strategy and potentially the development of new services, by bringing in your specific skills, expertise and experience
• Contributing to the digitalization and innovation of our services.

This role might be right for you if you have the following education and experience:

• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, preferably in an environmental sciences, with minimum experience of 10 years in consulting services
• Demonstrable experience in the delivery of E&S impact assessment and due diligence assessment in line with the IFC Performance Standards (IFC PS) or equivalent international environmental and social standards used in project finance
• Track record of working with project developers and financial institutions in developing countries and emerging markets
• Proven experience of collaborative working in multidisciplinary teams
• Experience working on renewable energy and or decarbonization projects would be desirable

• Excellent English communication skills – verbal and written
• Strong skills in planning, organizing and prioritizing when working on several assignments at the same time or under pressure
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Drive to contribute to team success and to a constructive, positive and collaborative work environment
• Ability and keenness to travel to project area (not limited to remote area) and other countries and work in a multi-cultural environment
• Strong analytical skills, and entrepreneurial attitude
• Interest in innovation and digital solutions
• Ability to work in a Royal HaskoningDHV office on a regular basis
